Automotive Training Centre Programs
New industry-validated programs have been added to ATC in response to the growing demand for well-qualified auto professionals. ATC now offers 20 automotive training programs:*
Learn the principles of automotive air conditioning, as well as refrigerant theories. ATC can also teach you diagnosis and service techniques, including how to recycle, charge, and handle refrigerants. This program is recognized as an ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) C.A.R (Certified Auto Repair) shop upgrading course, which means that upon successful completion, you can graduate with Air Conditioning Certification.
Auto Body Collision Estimator
Estimators play a key role in the analysis, negotiation and reconciliation of the repair process. Using interactive media, industry standard software, and real-life experience, you can learn how to properly complete a damage report for an auto body repair shop, insurance company or fleet and rental outlet.
Auto Body Repair Technician
This program offers state-of-the-art training in the methods employed by the automotive industry today, with an emphasis on understanding and working with new and traditional materials. You can learn about unibody construction and repair as well as how to straighten a car body. ATC will also cover all aspects of substrate preparation, colour matching, and paint finishing.
Automotive Business Management
This program will train you in how to explain finance and leases to customers, demonstrate the advantages of leasing vs. buying in each situation, and sell extended warranties, credit protection, insurance, etc. You can also learn about the important legal obligations of the dealership and consumer protection legislation. Plus, you'll receive hands-on training in the industry software for business managers.
The auto detailing certificate program combines classroom theory, shop demonstration and most importantly, shop participation. You can work on complete auto detailing projects and will gain insight as to what to expect in this line of work. Plus, most of your training will take place in an actual shop, so the experience you gain will prepare you for real-world expectations.
Automotive Diesel Service Technician
Learn to handle the maintenance, diagnosis, servicing, and repair of light duty diesel engines. ATC can also teach you to work with engine control computers, fuel injection systems, emission control systems, batteries, and much more. And, you can obtain practical experience in everything from preventive maintenance to records management.
Automotive Parts & Warehousing
Many opportunities exist in the marketplace for motivated, enthusiastic auto parts people. This program will cover computer training, stock handling, parts identification and cataloging, customer service, and warehouse procedures. You can also gain a grounded understanding of auto design and systems theory.
Automotive Refinishing Prep and Body Technician
Become equipped with the skills needed to get people back into their cars and driving like their accident never happened. Not only can you develop expert repair skills, this program can also help you get started on your 1st year apprenticeship as an Automotive Refinisher. Upon program completion, your areas of expertise will include detailing, surface prep, dent repair, priming, welding, and sheet metal repair.

Automotive Service Advisor

Ozone Depletion Prevention

Tire and Lube Technician
