The Hospitality and Tourism Management program at Canadian Tourism College is a combination of the two most popular programs offered at the college: Hospitality and Resort Business Management and Travel and Tourism Advanced Diploma CITC endorsed Level II. In 68 weeks, you will explore the key areas of the tourism industry and gain extensive knowledge of all types of travel operations.
You will obtain solid business skills in accounting, sales, marketing, human resource management, and organizational behaviour. You are going to study front office procedures and technologies, including Hotellinks. You will possess the ability to manage conventions, special events, resorts, and food operations. The program also takes you through the basics of travel and tourism, including cruises, car rentals, package tours, and international rail.
Hospitality and Tourism Management program covers world geography, such as destinations, attractions, climates, and currencies. Your training familiarizes you with domestic and international airline tickets and tariffs, as well as computer reservation/global distribution systems, such as SABRE, Amadeus, and Apollo. You also will benefit from career days and a 160-hour internship, both of which allow you to gain practical industry experience. This just gives you a glimpse into the knowledge that you will attain in this program. You will also graduate with a great selection of food, safety, and service certificates.
