Audio Engineering
Can you imagine that people used to listen to music with 8-tracks and records? It is hard to believe that today’s audio can be delivered in so many formats - from CDs and iPods to DVDs and Internet radio. Audio is so much different in the digital age, and you will learn all about it in the Audio Engineering program offered at the Centre for Arts and Technology. This training will familiarize you with the equipment and procedures used for audio engineering.
You explore music and sound production, as well as film, video, and TV post-production. In state-of-the-art recording studios, you will become familiar with non-linear and linear recording technologies. You will work on projects that reflect the industry you will be employed in. This training prepares you for a career in music engineering, editing, sound design, live sound reinforcement, and more in the TV, film, music, and other entertainment industries.
