Everest College Dental Office and Chairside Assistant Diploma program will prepare you to become a vital team member in a dental practice. You will learn a broad range of clinical and laboratory skills in conjunction with extensive education on the interpersonal side of this helping profession.
Your practical, hands-on experience will guide you through dental assistant and chairside functions - from preparing dental clients for examination and treatments, to performing radiological procedures. Your administrative education will include manual and computerized bookkeeping and appointment control.
This is an excellent long-term career as there will always be a need for caring, professional Dental Office and Chairside Assistants. Your employment prospects after graduating from this comprehensive diploma program will be wide and varied. Positions are available in private and group general practices, or you may choose to specialize in areas such as; periodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery. If you like working with children, a pediatric dental office could be the place for you. You could also work in a hospital, dental laboratory or public health department.
As a successful graduate of the Dental Office and Chairside Assistants program you will be eligible to write the Certification exam through the Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants Association (ODN and AA) which will earn you to the designation of Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), recognized throughout Ontario.*
