Community Health Care Schools & Colleges
Community health care training is a step in the right direction if you are empathetic and respectful towards other people and possess a strong desire to help other’s live more healthfully. Community health care schools will prepare you to help people whose lives are impacted by addiction, physical or developmental disabilities, old age, mental health issues, or illness. You will be able to help those in your community who need assistance.
Community health care schools will familiarize you with welfare, health care, and child care programs. If your patients require services beyond what you offer, you will know how to find the appropriate counselling services or treatment programs. Your training will allow you to develop an understanding of psychology, sociology, and criminology. You will also understand how humans develop and grow right from birth to old age, so you will be able to handle any challenge your career presents you with.
Many of the community health care schools offer externships. This is a great option if you want to build your confidence and strengthen your practical skills before you actually enter the workforce. Your community health care education will lead you to pursue the ample opportunities available within the health industry. You will improve lives as a Child Abuse Counsellor, Home Support Worker, Long-Term Care Aide, Resident Care Attendant, or other health professional!
