This in-depth program was created with direct input from a Program Advisory Committee comprised of industry agencies and partners, and is taught within a classroom at the Portland Hotel Society Station Street Housing Project. Community Support Worker
This program can prepare you to work closely with individuals who are dealing with developmental disabilities or dual diagnoses (a combination of developmental disabilities and mental illness). You can learn to provide important support and care in a broad range of areas in order to promote self-reliance, along with mental, emotional, and physical health.
