Are you overjoyed when you are able to interact with young children? Would you love a career where you help children develop and grow? This is exactly the career you will have when you complete the Early Childhood Educator program at Stenberg College. You will prepare to become a Registered Early Childhood Educator so you can gain employment in preschools and daycares.
You will learn how to administer activities that contribute to a child’s physical, mental, and emotional development. This includes telling stories, singing songs, playing instruments, and even going on field trips. You will help children with their personal care, hygiene, health, safety, and nutrition. You will assist a child with developing independent thought and will teach them to respect and encourage diversity.
Stenberg College will show you how to properly observe and document behaviour so you are able to inform parents of progress and any potential problems. You will stay on top of new teaching methods so you can do your best to teach children and help them grow. You will also practice and teach the importance of cultural sensitivity. The in-depth knowledge you acquire will lead you to begin a career in preschools, nursery schools, daycares, and other child care centres.
